Anyway, the bite is slower than what most people expect for this time of year. I personally think you need smaller cranks (DT10) in a Tenn Ghost or dark grey shad pattern and use a fairly quick retrieve with short pauses. Only pause long enough for a strike so they don't get a good look at the bait to determine it's fake.

Main lake points should produce well with big spooks if the wind is blowing hard and the water is choppy (should be 10mph Sat.). I WILL have a senko or finesse worm tied on with a c-rig for points and anywhere fish are gathered up and not schooling. As to what color, that's for me to know and you to choose! (haha) For the schooling fish, try several different crankbaits. I really think spinnerbaits will only work if there is a lot of topwater action or if they are in the shade where the flash is minimal. My spinnerbait bite has died down a lot in the last few weeks from what it was. Still worth trying. Nothing but War Eagles!!
