I went Saturday, Hickory creek area, and the bass are shallow, and in coves. We caught quality fish all day long. Had two good keeper large mouth on buzz bait, and lots of 15 inch spotted bass. Had to stay in some coves to hide from the wind. Did see someone had beached there boat up by 3 fingers cove. Looked like he took the turn too close going full speed. I told my partner I knew who's fault that was, the fellow that was fishing with the driver. Haha. Cove fishing From: J-Doc (70.241.39.18), Arkansas Thanks for the comment fishdaddy!! I went to Hickory Creek a few weeks ago and we never found very many fish. Guess we should go back and try it again. Did you fish plastics mainly or faster baits like spinnerbaits and cranks? I've heard the crank bite was great a few weeks ago. Beaver From: Big Gilbert (68.240.200.189), Arkansas Me and my partner fished Beaver Sun. We caught a limit and culled twice. We caught all our fish on a shakey head. We couldn't get them to bite a jig or topwater. Most of the fish were deep, the smaller ones are up shallow as usual. |
