Sutton has had so much pressure the last year that is has dramaticaly reduced the amount of fish many are sick and catches are few and far between. I wouldn't waste my time. Sutton Lake From: ncbassman (70.144.112.253), Virginia Fished Sutton on 11-17, had a great day. 5 for 14.78 lbs. Water wass extreamly clear and was b/t 66 and 70 degrees. Never cranked my bigh motor except to reposition in wind, to help with a water rescue as well as 3 other boats, hope this young man made it out okay, and to load on my trailer. Ready to go back at any time. Ended up with 7 keepers and 3 short. Good luck. Sutton lake From: bushmaster (137.118.153.106), North carolina The bass fishermen are being slammed for no reason.Sure there is a lot of pressure on Sutton, but show me a good lake lake or river that isn't. I have fished Sutton since the late 70's. I seen its highs and lows.The tournament fishermen don't keep any bass. As a matter of fact they are the ones responsible for closed seasons and slot limits to help the lake recover. When the lake was at its high some time back a lot of unsportsman like people were taking the fish out by the boatload. Just like the crappie and shell crackers. This lake used to be loaded with these also. When the shell crackers would bed up there would be litterally 15 or 20 boats situated nose to nose in a circle around the beds until they were fished out. What we need is more sportsmen and less hogs. sutton winter bass From: Shomon (64.12.117.199), North carolina Yeah some dont seem to get it so they knock it, the pressure does come for a reason. I,ve never been and seen the parking lot over flowing but only been a few times. Would like to try the bass on the colder days due to the warmer water I hear. Thanks for the info guys. |
