I'm new to the area..can you post where that is exactly and how to get there; and possibly where to launch,etc. Livin here awhile From: Bassguy6 (68.11.167.118), Louisiana Been living here awhile and know that most people are not willing to give up spots (because if you have a big enough boat, it could be a tourney spot all year, even as far south as Gibson). The way to get to the Sorrell/Pigeion area is by going down LA 1 until you get to plaquemine, turn west between burger king and jack in the box, go all the way down until the road T's, turn south, go 1 or 2 miles and turn west across a draw bridge and the landing is right over the leavee. launch your boat into the intercoastal canal and you can get almost anywhere in the spillway (even to the gulf of mexico). Avise-get a map, bring a GPS and compass (can get map at Spillway Sportsman in Addis). pigeon/sorrell From: Big Blades (63.97.19.2), Louisiana Definitely need a map or GPS.. Those canals get confusing. Especially when someone tells you to turn right then left and then your second right all the way to the back. |
