Drop Shot From: BigL, North carolina A drop shot is basically a reverse carolina rig. The hook is tied first{a palomar knot}then the weight below the hook 6-18 inches. The idea is when the rig is cast out and the slack in your line is tightend, the weight stays on the bottom while your lure hovers above it. I like to fish it staight down and just shake my rod tip, while my brother cast out and works it back to the boat like a texas rig. Powerbait and Zoom finesse worms.
