Maybe I can help on this ... maybe. From: RayBob #12544, Texas
As you know the shoreline is irregular. An area of land that juts out into a lake is a point. A main lake point is just what it says ... a major topographical piece of land jutting into the main lake body. A secondary point is a smaller topo feature that will poke out into the lake off of the main point. With imagination you can look at the land on the shore and the features it has as it goes away from the point of contact with the water. Now try to visualize how it looks under water ... the secondary point will be a small ridge under the water just like it is looking at the shoreline and up on the land.

Location is by watching the lay of the shore and by using a depthfinder.

This would be much easier with a pencil and paper and/or a map.

Hope you got it ... it is kinda self explanatory.
