You must have been doing something wrong....i have been two nights a week for the past couple of weeks and catching a ton!!! mostly small fish, but 7 to 10 a night aint bad. they are from 3 to 12 pounds. we did catch one that weighed 21 pounds. always two people in the boat and we doubled up twice. i did learn something cool this year....if you stop pulling on a striper when he gets under the boat, he will settle down and suspend about 10 to 15 feet under the boat. comes to handy when your partner has the net all tied up for ten minutes with an 8 pounder and a bomber. I am throwing the pink bomber only, but a buddy of mine threw one with silver sides and black back one night and did good also. I will be out tonight to see if the water temp has got too warm for them. Bomber bite From: knotquilty, Georgia Thanks,I fished shole creek last fall and did pretty well.The shallow flats I like to fish there are hight and dry,so I tryed some new areas mid lake with no luck. Sounds like I need to head back to the south end again . Good luck tonight, Try not to sore lip all of them and I will give it another try on Thursday nite.Tight lines brother. They are also getting smaller. All fish tonight were between 2 and 6 pounds. I lost one at the boat probably 8 pounds. |
