I think the reason some folks struggled was they didnt nail down the presentation you had to make, once we figured it out it was hammer time.

We were using the banjo too, in futia, with some wierd brownish colored shriveled up round deals I stole from a jar on my mother in laws mantle. We stabled those to the head for extra action and bulk. The real key though was being able to present it under those secret overhangs only us locals know about down river just inside the mouth of the Wax(shhhhhh).

What we figured out was if I took my trusty dusty Roland Martin Rocket Rod, I could skip that bad boy, along with the 2 ounce drop shot weight, back up under those hangs all the way to the bank.

the 2 ounce weight is for gettin it down quick cause we are power fisherman, not some finesse sissies that would chunk a 1/4 jighead and a weenie worm.

You would think that Rocket Rod would make more than 1 cast with the powder charge necessary to deploy our secret bait though. I bought 9 for the Bozo's tourney Friday night.
