I grew up fishing BCL.I have fished there many times thru the years.Just use common sense,NEVER run in areas shallower than 5'.Most stumps are in the hwy 98 area.There are no trees in 20' of water cut off at water level,but maybe floaters that are sticking up.Most wood has rotted out of the lake by now.Good Luck
On the north Arm From: Bender, MS Gulf Coast, Virginia
YOu can run about half way if you stay close to the West bank. Do not run after you pass the 2nd cove on the left until you have scoped it out. As you leave the ramp down to the main lake if you take a right and run north, this is the North Arm I am talking about. Everything south of there is fine.
