Kingfish, Thanks for a good report and congrats on the stringer. Good to hear the topwater action is heating up. I have in the past thrown tw sammys and spooks, but never had the luck you seem to have. Would you mind sharing which tw lures are producing best and maybe a few colors to try. Thanks in advance for any help. Topwater baits... From: KingfisherB #12993, Virginia The topwater baits we used all morning were a spook jr. in black and chrome (not much action on the larger spook) and large shad colored pop R. The two large fish came on the spook jr. and the pop R. I wanted to throw a buzzbait and numerous other topwater baits but it is hard to put the spook down. Anyway all hookups were over very deep water around any long points, nothing shallow. After missed hook ups I quickly threw a chartreuse colored bucktail jig and caught 3 fish.
