Butt Head Disease From: Dan D, Georgia
I would not know where to begin to explain Dumbass disease,

I have fished many a lake and waters around this country but I strongly feel we have some of the best right here!!!

I have always wanted to film the ramps regarding this strange disease and I am sure I could win funniest home vidios.

I had a boat load of ski boys in a master craft do the same thing to me awhile ago while I was pulling planer boards for stirper, and they cut my board off. The bad thing was they had a mile on the other side of me but wanted to cut inbetween me and the shore at about 40'

So the answer is a resounding I have no Idea and you will never get a good answer.

Boats & Jet Skis From: Bassman #11035, Georgia
We had the same thing happen to us twice today at Lanier. Wanted to plunk'em with a spook!

Really enjoyed watching the family at Balus when we came back to the ramp to take out. After waiting in line probably 30 minutes to launch their boat, they backed down the ramp THEN proceeded to load the boat with coolers, bags, tubes, etc. Some people just don't have any boating etiquette or common sense.

We caught several on fishheads and spooks on the lower end. Best five around 13 lbs. Boat and jet ski traffic ran us off the lake around 2:00.

Weekend worriors!!!!!! From: Big Smith, Georgia
I love to watch them at the ramps, but when it's my turn to launch it's usually in less than two minutes. So just let them know how professionals do it!!!!! As for the people running in to close... it's come full circle. I'll yell 'em down and if they come back then we're going to take care of it! I'm usually passive and forgive them but if my kids with me I'm like a hornet. I was out there last Fall and a jerkoff in a red Ranger came about 20' from the boat at about 60mph and if I could have caught him I would have SNAPPED his freakin neck.
Dont get me started!! .............. From: Pappy, Georgia
Was on Lanier today myself. I had a few similar incidents. The BEST one was a guy and girl came cruising between us and a point we were fishing. Never even looked our way. There was a 1/4 mile behind us with nobody else in site and here he come. Making matters worse, I had a marker threw out on a breakline and he came within 5 - 10 feet of running over it. Then while trying to get out, I sat over 45 minutes on the water before my partner could get my trailer in the water. One guy waded out nearly chest deep to "float" his bowrider off the trailer and pull it onto the sandy bank. THEN ........... (you know whats coming)......... THEN, they loaded all their crap before they pulled off the ramp. I was pissed. When we finally got out I told my buddy that this would probably be the last weekend day Im on the lake till Fall when it clears out. Probably gonna be using the rest of my vacation days though (laugh!)
Boat Ramp Craziness From: Stratos20 #10695, Georgia
I used to live in the Atlanta area and fished Lanier. A couple of years ago, I witnessed something at Big Creek Park that I felt took top honors for breach of boat ramp etiquette. On one of the double ramps, despite the "No Swimming" and "No Wake" signs, one group was swimming in the water at the boat ramp and running jet skis right around the ramp causing major wakes. However, that was not the topper. They had backed their pickup truck down the ramp, lowered the tailgate and had a boom box set up thereon blasting their music, while they sat in the water ON THE RAMP in lounge chairs!!! And this was with a beach not more than 100 feet away!!!!

Take an older DD22 and of course take the hooks off. When those idiots come cruising by that close pick up the old faithful and hit them in their head to bring them back to reality. That is all they need. Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are to have the freedoms that our military sacrifices so much for us to have. Then we abuse it. They just need a reality check....I have foubd that a DD22 will do it for them real quick. They act bad but when you call their bluff they will cry for their mommies......
