The bass was my biggest on the potomac. I caught a 10 lbs plus catfish on my next trip. It felt like a huge bass until it got to the top, and started acting like a catfish. It had me fooled for awhile. I guess I was still stoked from the big bass. catfish on the 'Mac From: 31Airborne, Virginia Wes, we're about at the time of year when catfish will hit anything. At first if feels like a monster, then it starts rolling. I hate that feeling. I caught a blue on a senko (???) yesterday that had to be every bit of 7-8 lbs. Ran and ran, but never rolled. Need some advice on what you are seeing on the Potomac. Have a pretty good start but want to work in some different stuff. Everyone throws the Paca line at'em so I like the colors but want to create somethin different. Maybe I'll bring you up some at the store but email me zippric@yahoo.com and I'll send you some pics of the latest via email so tell me whatta think. The grass this year is certainly different, especially on the Maryland side in my view. Its thicker to be sure. Places where there was no grass last year is full of it now so it is getting a bit hard to find the right spot. Finally got the flippin stick so have been at it mostly and of course drop shottin the lines and edges. There been such a drop in boat traffic it seems everywhere this year that its givin more time on the water to actually try new things than have to r&g all over to get away. This was especially tru up at SML where had the best trip in years.
