I'll never tell From: Haf (130.44.210.14), Rhode island
The best I can tell you is that it's on the burriville line, in the north-west corner of the state. HAF
and that's why thee ain't squat for reports From: Bassbum, Rhode island
from RI. What do you think? You got a secret honey hole?

A typical RIA

This isn't a bragging board, this is a forum for giving and getting info on what's happening at the lakes, ponds and rivers in your state. If you don't want to post legitimate info, go play somewhere else

Wally

thinks your full of it anyway

dry your eyes From: Haf (130.44.210.14), Rhode island
I fish a lot, about 60-70 days a year,i only post a report when i have a outstanding day. As far sharing information, I gave exact baits, colors and if it helps i caught all the big fish over deep (8-10ft) coontail. If i don't want 20 so-called fishermen on a hot lake i'm on then "dry your eyes". HAF
A. 60-70 days is not a lot, it's probably about From: Bassbum, Rhode island
average for a bass club member in the state of RI

B. what little info you gave in your original post was worthless. Now the depth and structure you just mentioned could help someone but unless you signify the body of water, weather, and time of day, what bait you used doesn't mean diddly

C. As I stated before, this forum is here so if someone is going to a particular body of water or looking for someplace to fish in a particular area, they will know what's going on

D. I still think your fish were smaller and probably fewer than you state, but that's ok because actually that is less than an average day on many RI ponds

Seedly, if you want to email me, I'll give you some good ponds to catch bass close by your area

Wally

wally wanna-be From: Haf (130.44.210.14), Rhode island
Wally Wanna-be if you and your friends try Bowdish, Keach,or Wilson Res. maybe you'll score (fat chance). Try fishing on windy days. As far fish size, all fish were weighed on digital scales, photographed, released ,and also witnessed. by the way my dad caught a 5.1 there a week before. p.s. People who qestion or harrass others posts are the reasons why nobody posts in R.I. HAF

Haf,not many reports from RI anyways,so i doubt if there would be "20 so-called fishermen" on "your" lake as a result of anyone's report.anyways, i do most of my fishing in burrillville or glocester,so you must be talking about Wallum,Wilson,Wakfield, clarkville, peck, bowdish or echo lake.these are the ponds that are "on the burrillville line".thanks for the comments.and BASSBUM,i'd love to hear any input about any ponds you might have info on.also, any idea how to get fishing maps(depth, structure, navagational, ect)for ponds in RI? i also fish in vermont twice a year, nelson pond/forest lake in the woodbury/calais region.last week in june and last week in sept.GREAT smallies up there!hang up at a cabin right on the pond across from the boat launch(state ramp) boy do we get some laughs watching some people try to get underway.by the way, i usually fish from a kayak. my e-mail address is seedly@email.com thanks buddy,Brad Read
Seedly, I'll email you later in the week but From: Bassbum, Rhode island
first get yourself into Providence to the DEM office over near the Foundry. When we were doing the scale samples for them in their bass study, they published a book on all the waters in the state. The book contains a map for each pond, species in each, growth rates, and where the access was. They may charge you a dollar for the book but it will be a dollar well spent. While you are their ask them about water quality monitoring and how you can help Our studies are now in the tenth year and include research conducted through the DEM and URI and volunteers are always appreciated.

Wally, Why do you get into it with these guys. Your just wasting your time. What difference does it matter how many he caught or how big. It still just supposed to be fun. I watch all these messages from every state and their the same. Most people can catch a decent amount of fish if there are relatively few anglers on the lake but most turn into an average fisherman when you put 20 to 30 boats on the water because they do not get to fish all the spots first. Thats why the same guys tend to win the majority of the tournaments. Hope things are going well for you e-mail me sometime. I am getting out of the competitive fishing for a while since my kids are reaching that age that occupies so much of my free time. I should be back at the States in about 5 years to see if I can finally get my chance at the nationals.

I call it DIVISION. It's on division road right next to metlife before rt.2 by the golf coarse. Got some 2.lb to 4.lb bigmouth bass off the shore all day long. Used shinners with on one pole and spinner bait on the other. Got a 4.1/2 pounder on a white skirt spinner bait. Endless supply of sunfish with worms if thats what you like.
