Have you heard what the largemouth and smallmouth are doing on Wilson? Everytime I fish that lake I have trouble. It used to be good fishing, but has really dropped off the last few years. bad day or bad guides From: nick (64.12.102.181), Kansas iv'e fished stripers all over ark, texas, kansas, i went with a friend of mine on a guided striper trip, with mad jack and one of his fellow guides joe bob? they wern't guides, they were money grabbers. joe bob went 5 min from the boat ramp threw the anchore and set there all day, they used bait to big for the conditions.didn't want to move to find active but had there hands out for the money.they wouldnt fish in the wind because there equ. wouldn't let them but they took our money,joe bob had a 6 year old on his first trip and didn't even get to touch a rod or catch a fish. i want to warn others to stay away from these guys Nick From: Jack Hoskinson (63.170.33.172), Kansas Sorry you felt this way Nick! As I recall your party made the choice to fish that day despite my recommendation of rebooking. Anyone who fishes Kansas knows that a 30 mph plus wind can make the fishing tough. As far as our equipment not handling the conditions our boats are 17 and 19 feet and we are on the rough water when NO-ONE else is. Perhaps if we had ventured out onto the big water your 6 year old would have something to remember, 3 to 5 foot waves will certainly make a lasting impression. You failed to mention that my boat landed several fish on bait TOO BIG FOR CONDITIONS! Guiding is a tough business and the fish don't always cooperate but day in and day out safety and the comfort of the parties on my boat are my #1 concern, Sincerely, Madd Jack
