Question For You Judge... From: Andy W., Georgia
In the late 80's early 90's I lived in Macon and fished their a few times. Fishing was always tough for me there. I "heard" after the flood and the damn break, that fishing had improved by leaps and bounds. Is it still the case? I always liked that lake (even though it humbled me) as it reminded me more of "Florida" lakes that the normal Georgia impoundments. Keep the reports coming! Andy W. Response to Andy From: The Judge (216.128.141.56), Georgia Andy: Right after the flood fishing was great. Last year fishing dropped off tremendously. I am not sure what caused it. Tournament weights are down, and it is even harder to catch short fish. Early winter and the heat of summer is very hard to catch a limit. But spring is a good time, especially when the fish move up around the prevalent cypress trees, i.e. best time to fish March, April and May Blackshear From: Kenr (152.163.207.48), Georgia Judge, igrew up fishing Blackshear(I've been gone a few years) but, You might try the very back of Limestone Creek find what little channel there is and throw a rattletrap and pignjig(Brown/orange)also try the springs in the back of cannons branch. If that fails fall back on the rip-rap along the trussle in front of veterns. Kenr |
