Why not eat the little ones that you throw back instead of the mid-size our lakes in Idaho are stunted as it is.
Keep'm if you like From: Idho Sportsman (204.52.246.146), Idaho
I like to fish and eat my fish, so if some one like to keep and eat why not? Take what you can eat and through back the rest. The Snake River is not a lake.
keeping bass From: bass tracker (198.1.36.170), Washington
It takes about ten years for a largemouth to reach 6-7lbs.the colder climate prohibits the growth it would take to support an excellent fishery and eatery! i too like white meat fillets .species like perch, walleye, crappie,& bluegill are comparable in taste and are a stronger growing speices.as far as salmon smolts go,a largemouth will not chase down its prey like salmon.instead largemouth ambush prey like young spiny rays & crayfish.ive also caught smallmouth that spit up perch and crayfish.these are facts i obtained from a biologist, because i too used to keep and eat bass.
Support Catch and Release From: markcamp1 (65.24.186.203), Ohio
I just don't like to hear about people eating bass. There are plenty of other edible species out there to eat, and plenty of fish to buy at the supermarket. Support catch and release. Support the sport. Support the environment.

When I see people keeping bass to eat, I regularly offer people $5.00 a fish to let them go, and more for large females...
