Saturday From: Chris Smith (66.141.48.64), Texas
Dinks all around! I don't know of anyone who caught a limit Saturday, but a few folks managed 3 keepers. We did find one cove that gave up quite a few short fish, they pounded flukes, crankbaits, or just about anything thrown at them. Not a keeper in the bunch. It was a 'chainsaw' pattern, you had to be within earshot of the folks cutting up tree on the bank!

H.H.J Tourney From: Hard Head Jenkins (17.104.170.103), Texas
1st took it with 7lbs and big bass was close to 4lbs. It was diffenetly a slow day on the water for everyone, We managed about the same as the above report, several undersized fish in the grass past 360 bridge.

Good Luck H.H.J.

Lake Austin Grass From: brepa (24.167.7.219), Texas
For those of you that fish lake Austin, What do you think about the plans to remove the Hydrylla form the lake because a few people built in the flood plain and are complaining that their houses get 4 inches of water in them.
Hydrilla From: J. (168.215.22.23), Texas
It really sucks, these people move to lake front property and complain about water in there houses when it rains and about the hydrilla problem that they say grabs them when they swim. What are they going to say when the water turns a nice milky color instead of the nice green color it should be. What will they say when they can't even go on the water because of the kids that have there parents boat for the day and don't know how to drive them?
L.austin, grass, bass ,and a place ta get some ass From: Lazereyeoftexas (205.188.208.105), Texas
You poor fishing boys would rather force someone out of thier homes,so you can have clear water to fish in. boys, grow up. dont be making accuisastions either on they built after the grass was thier. i'll be the first ta call you a dam liar, and i am.since you lie about that, i know i'll never believe your reports.you want grass and big bass? well then go get some gass. and come on out to l.still house.but when you go on and on wining like little kids looking out for your interest before that of families.yours being play time, and thiers being health, then i'll be the first to tell you grow up.i've lived here all my life city boys, not like you yanks move down here complaining for your enjoyment, that cant catch fish unless the sun is at the right angle, the water is clear, and at a certain temp, and just has to have hydrylla. can already tell thier boys you just aint no dam fishermen.learn how to fish in all conditions. then complain. later cry babies.you better have facts over made up lies next time.those houses have been thier several years.most likely more than your ages.u wunna complain and wine,im sure you can find a day care there local.hydryla kills.lazer.
Grass in Lake Austin From: Ab (216.61.52.20), Texas
I read this in the Austin American Statesman. Not enough migrating ducks stopped in Austin, the chamber figured. It first discussed wooing ducks with plants in Lake Austin in 1926. Fifteen years later, the city and federal government had created an official wildfowl refuge, with millet and other seeds planted in the lake. But by 1946, the situation had gone amok. The problem was not ducks, but weeds. The battle to rid the lake of choking duckweed continues today.
