What is the best baits to use for bass at Puddingstone? Where is the best place to fish for bass at puddingstone right now.
Puddingstone From: ken (198.81.19.183), California
The best baits to use is small plastic's or small jigs. fish all creek channels, try back by the cliff by rv park or the cliff on the north shore. the best plastic,s to use is black grape blue neon, green weenie red flake, lou's green weenie, buddy brown or green weenie xmas tree. we use life like plastic's because there super soft worms and there loaded with scent. you can try by the boat rental docks area there is a drop off that holds so good fish. you need a boat to get to these places. good luck

Hi, I was wondering if 6 to 8 inch. trout swim baits work good for bass at puddingstone. If so, where and how would you use it. I was also wondering what Rapalas, plastics, and topwater lures work best at Puddingstone. I went to Puddingstone about 3 to 4 times in September on my boat, and haven't caught a thing. I have tried everything, from rapalas, plastics, nightcrawlers and etc..... I fished all morning and all afternoon at Puddinstone and still haven't caught anything. Please respond and help me as much as you can. Thanks
Puddingstone lake From: Ken (198.81.21.169), California
Yes the trout baits work at this lake the south east shore.the launch ramp area and the ski beach. fat rap in crawfish or shad colors work great fr-7, any green weenie or black grape blue neon worm, cinnamon black vein, green weenie dark xmas tree, small jigs work too. right now we are using 3" worms and down shotin them in 25 to 35 feet of water in the creek channels. the worms i use is life like plastic's and the jigs are skinny bears with a burkley pumpkin seed grub 3" as a trailer. this is a great shakin lake and split shot lake work your baits as slow as you can and fish the cliffs by the dam always get good fish there. in two weeks look for fish on beds. if you need more info email me at superbass15@cs.com thanks ken keep a tight line.
