Colorado fishing From: Tamale (139.95.250.2), Texas
How is the bass fishing up there? Whats a big bass on that lake? Whats typical? May have to move up there for work reasons.
Bass in Colo. From: Dr. Phyl, Colorado
Pueblo has LMB, Spots, and Smallies, as well as Wipers. Large fish= 5-6 LMB, 3-4 Smallies, and 12 Wiper. These are not easy to come across. The good season runs mid-May through mid Oct. Pueblo is one of the better lakes, but with the drought last year and into this year the lake is 65' vertically low, which gives up many good stretches of shoreline. There are other lakes that compare in Bass quality but are even smaller bodies of water. New Mexico offers a couple lakes that are bigger and about 4 1/2 hrs. away, but one of them (Conchas) is also very low. You will definately not have the abundance or quality of lakes as where you are now. Good luck
