I heard the boy scouts are really interested in the bass fishery and aren't going to do a whole lot to return it to it legendary status. It will be more of a camping type trout lake. I also heard people outside of the cub scouts will be able to fish with the forty dollar fee. This is knowledge by word of mouth only. the sad saga continues... From: Doc of BH (64.162.177.178), California At least it will be good for our youth...my cousin works for the Boy Scouts back east, tells me once they get a property like Oso, it will in all probability be 100% privatized for BS use only...they just don't have the resourses (or interest)to staff for public use, nor can they accept the liability. It doesn't look good, folks...good bye float tube heaven...thanks, Boob. oso From: whit (68.5.211.132), California im in a bass club and we just got invited to fish the lake out they want like 25 thou bass takin out of the lake becouse they are all starving and they arew going to send them all to laguna negul then stock the lake witha bunch of baby trout but they said that the boy scouts are going to make it a place for bass clubs to have tournaments on they are trying to make it a big bass lake or somthin thats alli knoe Oso From: Dave (208.57.94.149), California I will be there on Saturday. Look for me, I have a white Tahoe with a white with red stripe 519VX Ranger with a 200 Opti Max. I will have my brother and son (age 5) with me. I am bringing the holding pens for the bass. We aren't taking out that many bass as the lake total doesn't even hold 1/8 of what you said would be taken out. The goal is to remove maybe less than 1,000 bass in the 12" - 15" size. We do not want to remove any bass larger or smaller than that. I can fill you in on the private membership club we will be doing at the lake. Dave B.
