Pueblo bass From: Steve Pagel (66.1.108.81), Colorado
Fishing has been poor at Pueblo for the last 18 months, nobody seems to know why.
Pueblo From: Wish (12.211.194.210), Colorado
We had a tournament of 28 anglers Saturday 21st. Fishing was really tough, but we still managed about 8 limits of 12" or better. Winning limit consisted of 3 15". Caught a lot of fish that we weren't fishing for(Wipers, walleyes and some nice crappies. The best patterns were typical, tubes, grubs and soft jerkbaits. Definitely a lot of fish under 12". Water was stained 4-6' visibility. 65-68 degrees.
re From: Rob (67.1.132.44), Colorado
Where did you catch the crappie, I havent been able to find any at pueblo. Thanks and tight lines. Rob
Local Clubs From: J D, South carolina
It looks like I will be moving to C Springs this Winter and was wondering if there were any Bass Clubs in the area?

Cheers, JD

Bass Clubs From: Drew (131.15.117.243), Colorado
JD,

Their are a few Bass Clubs in Colorado, One I think is Pikes Peak Bass Master, two are three more can't think of there names. If your are military their is the Military Bass Anglers Association. Most Tournaments are fished in Kansas or New Mexico; depend on what club your joining and the size of the club. Lake is Colorado are on the small sizes

bass and trout at the pueblo res From: coozer (67.41.75.109), Colorado
I have done alot of fishing at the res lately, bass mostly. I found the best time for trout just after ice out around the area. best this year for trout was 2 limits weighing in at 19 lbs. On the south side of the lake floating worm 4 ft. to 5 ft. down. However i havent hooked into a trout for couple of months, just been doing alot of bass fishing. I havent had much luck with to many lures,I have thrown almost everthing but still no match to the live bait. I usually pull out 3 to 4 keeper largmouth and 1 or 2 smallmouth that are keeper each day. Try floating a slip bobber rig with a minnow from 3 to 15 foot deep, on the north side of the lake along just about any cliff face, very productive for me hope it works for you! just incase you are wondering i stop at the little bait store on the way to the res from pueblo, tonys bait box. thier minnow are the best ive seen in town, strong scales, very shiny, had one batch live for 7 hours no ice no new water, and sometimes you might even find a fathead or 3 in your bucket.
