Fished it 3 years in a row for what it's worth... From: Dave (24.166.242.148), Ohio
Been there the last three years. Very clear water. Watch out for the sunken islands when navigating. Bluegills are hit and miss but are abundant. Used red wigglers and they were great. Fish the many flats and close to drops. Evening was better than mornings. If you get to a spot and don't get action quickly. Move... Pike and bass are also caught while bluegill fishing. Good luck !!!!
Coldwater lake From: james (152.163.252.71), Virginia
I grew up fishing that lake and there is plenty of big gills in the lake. Try to get to the back channels of the lake in the shawnee shoals area there is great red ear fishing when they are bedding. If you are fishing the main lake try near the reed lines off Iyopoia Island (miss spelled), there used to be a big willow tree near Joe Bar's trailer park on the west bank that had a 8-12 foot hole just out from it and a reed line that streched out for about 75 yards real good fishing in this area. Any questions please send a email

have been fishing coldwater lake for 13 years From: cameron (168.102.16.177), Indiana
there are some very nice gills in the lake and red ear. i have seen some of the biggest ive seen come out of that lake some almost 1&1/2lbs. the back channels are a good spot. but if you can out between the sunken island there is a spot 40-50 feet deep with weeds growing up to where you can see them where my dad and his friends caught almost 130 blue gill in 2 days. if you try a spot and dont have luck in the first few minutes move out and try a new spot

Ive been fishing it fo 1 year there ar some big gills on the reed line by the sand bar. Some of the smaller conecting lakes that see less boat action have some big bluegills you just have to tinker around and see what works for you.
