It is very tuff right now, the best bet is if you can go real early in the morn or in the evening. Deeper water with some brush would probably be good if you can find it but I haven't been able to. point From: rookie (205.188.209.71), Georgia email me at Icecold0581@aol.com we went to the point on saturday and did preaty well. west point From: fliptail (68.19.11.186), Georgia my wife and i fished there june 22 and did OK. caught 9 would-be keepers, mostly spots. that weekend the river was muddy, which it will probalby again this weekend. we fished whitewater creek and since the trolling motor died, i fished points only. i caught mine on junebug/chartreuse lizards and she caught hers on crankbaits. hope y'all have good luck!! wets point suggestions From: tphumpjr (66.190.165.112), Georgia Heres some good info that will work well on West Point. Early from day break till 8. Forget top water. It's fun , but quantity is what I look for. Trick worm bridges. Hit it hard and fast, move to the next bridge. Yellow works the best for me. 9-lunch hit pockets on the back sides of points. Points are good, but hit the sides. Fish white Bandit, no bites, Carolina the area. Muddy, go dark. 12-6 hit the creeks Carolina rig. Position the boat down the bank, throw out in the middle. The fish is slow this way, but the big ones are there. 7-dark, combinate the trick worm as well as top water in the deeper coves. My main area that I fish is from Yellow Jacket bridge to 219 bridge back down to 109. That is a lot of area, but cover it. Good luck. If it's muddy, oh well, head to the dam and just fish hard. |
