johnsons pond, Rhode Island From: bob (68.9.236.89), Rhode island
How did you rig your lizards and what weight sinker did you use Thanks Bob.
about Johnson's Pond From: Greg (64.12.96.45), Rhode island
In spring is when you usually get bigger bass out of the pond. All you pretty much have to do is go around docks throwing a rubber worm or spinnerbait. Fall fishing isn't bad you just get more pickeral and pike. Again all you really have to throw a spinnerbait or carolina rigged lizard around stumps. Night fishing is usually incredible between 11pm and 3am. All you do is go down to the dam or northern part of the pond and throw a buzzbait, skitter pop, jitterbug, or a black midnight special spinnerbait. Make sure you have trailer or stinger hooks on the buzzer though because a lot of the time it seems like they slap at it rather than hit it. Overall at night it is probably second in the state only to either Beach Pond or Worden's.
johnsons pond From: rob (63.159.213.193), Virginia
I fished 1/4oz carolina rigs with 12lb spider wire and a 24in floral carbon leader with a 1/0 owner staight shank.Zoom 4inch punkin lizards seem to sink slower. We caught our fish in a boat lane aiming our casts at there props as they went by.I think the boats were scattering bait and turning on fish! Are there other places to launch besides colwell camp grounds?Would like night fish with 16ft alumin boat.thanks for the tips and suggestion.Good luck on the water.
hundred acre pond From: bassman (209.240.198.62), Rhode island
had a run in with some nasty bitch landowner who lives on hundred acre pond. was putting canoe in on stream off hundred acre pond rd. the miserable bitch who had nothing better to do stated that hundred acre pond rd. was a private rd. and that we were trespassing in her "backyard"! don't know who owns the land at the beginning of the road where the pond begins through a stream that connects with 30 acre pnd, but i know it's not that lousy bitch cunt. screw her, we were'nt bothering her, littering, swearing, or causing any trouble. we just wanted to fish. any other fellow fishermen with stories to tell on this or any other ponds?
