I have never fished there! Do you fish Lake Bruin? If so any reports from there; I will be there this weekend. Lake Providence From: louisiana_angler (198.22.157.1), Louisiana Have never fished Bruin, but have been thinking about it. I actually live in Little Rock and my father in Baton Rouge. We have been looking for something about halfway in between to fish some weekends, and Providence seemed promising, but didn't produce a whole lot. Lake Bruin was actually next on our list. Lake Providence/Bruin From: Jigger (65.165.138.66), Louisiana Both lakes are tough this time of year. On Lake Providence, fish a white 1/2 oz spinner bait and/or buzz bait early on hospital end of lake and on the inside bank south of the airport chute. Later in the day, fish junebug or watermellon/red baby brushogs on the outside bank around deeper cypress trees. On Lake Bruin, fish red wobblehead/natural 6" worm early on north end of lake around grass and lilly pads. Also, try a white buzz bait or shad colored stick bait. Later in the day, fish a red shad or motoroil/red TR worm around deeper piers/cypress trees in middle area of lake - outside bank.Also try a black/blue or watermellon/red jig on deeper cypress trees.
