County officials extended the closure date by a week. Now it looks like about the 7 of Sept. And yes it does suck!!! why From: stratosjoe (24.171.101.49), Virginia why are they closing it ??????????? closing castaic From: Doc of BH (64.167.12.50), California It seems that the STATE built this lake as part of the California Metropolitan Water District (MWD), but the arraingement was for the COUNTY to provide for the running of the lake, it's park, the launch facilities...etc. Since CA is running out of $$$, but not jerks (can you say "Ahhhnowd")...who want to be governor..the trickle down effect is that some things gotta give. You would think the friggin place pays for itself...it's a very busy boating/fishin/rec area..only 35 miles from Los Angeles. Where's the money going? Who knows. 46 States are officially bankrupt now, CA is just one of them ...but it's more important to spend BILLIONS "freeing" a country so that the oil corporation that runs our government can get it's greedy, lying hands on it's resourses. |
