I live in Dallas but grew up in Boston. I travel back a few times a year and normally go Striper/Bluefishing. I will do that this year but plan on doing a little Bass fishing in area ponds/lakes/rivers. After reading your reports I will try the Charles. I always overlooked it when I lived there. Tell me, what do you know about a section of the Charles behind a private high school in Dedham, I think it is called Greenlodge H.S, or something like that. It's a boarding school I think. Also, just out of curiosity, do you ever salt water fish? The Boston/Cape area has great Striper fishing. Bill From: boo-boo (151.199.61.15), Massachusetts Hey Bill, I do know the section that you are talking about but I haven't been out there in many years. The closest I get to that area isn't really that close. That would be in Needham on Highland ave. The fishing there is great and you can go in either direction for a long way. The ramp there is a dirt ramp but it is great for car-top launching and small trailers too. As far as stripers and blues....I have always wanted to but just haven't gotten around to it yet I guess. I hear that striper is one of the best eating fish around and would love to try it and I hear that the fight of a blue is second to none.
