Grand Lake fishing From: lmitch, Oklahoma
Went yesterday with my uncle with a guide to catch catfish, something I wanted to learn. Turned out we didn't even fish for catfish, he netted some shad then went looking for whitebass, I mean sandbass for us Okies. Didn't find any, then he took us to Honey Creek and started casting for bass, hell I can do all that! I only brought one box with rattletraps, small cranks and two pop-r's. Took control of the trolling motor and ended up catching around 50 bass with 8 or nine measuring to 3 lbs. Wish I had my senkos, could have slayed them I think. I think I need to become a guide, this guy was a joke, I can do much better than this myself. Saw a bunch of guys getting ready to fish the Triton tournament, went behind one of them all decked out in their matching shirts and 20 ft. 225 HP motors and caught 6 right behind where they fished. I don't fish tournaments any more, but I really like my chances if I did. I think 75% of the tournament fisherman don't know what the are doing and the other 25% are the ones you compete against. You guys know this is true. Sorry for the long post, but I had to get some stuff off my mind. Today was even better From: bassaholic (65.70.93.110), Oklahoma I fished again today the wind was out of the north and breezy. I caught 7 keepers from 2 to 4 lbs. all on the points with the wind blowing on them. All came on a crankbait. not about grand but do you ever fish tenkiller? From: Dm (12.221.221.159), Oklahoma Looks like you fish Grand a lot - do you (or any else) have any recent info about tenkiller ferry?
