Blue Marsh From: Kevin (64.9.1.62), Pennsylvania
You have been doing really good up there this year. I on the other hand have been doing horrible. I was there on Sunday and did not do that great. I caught one dink on a pumpkin seed tube and missed two at the boat on senko's. One of the fish I missed was a decent size lg mouth the other was small. It wasn't a good day fishing but at least I was able to get the boat out after three month's of not having the time to use it.

Good year. From: Charles (172.170.25.129), Pennsylvania
Gov,

These guys are right you have been having a good year. I have been reading a lot of your reports and find them interesting. I have been fishing the marsh lately and have had no problem catching 10 to 12 fish per outing on various lures (Senkos and tubes) but most of my fish are in the 11 to 15 inch range. Where have all the big fish gone. Was up two weeks ago and seen a tournament weigh-in and seen some impressive fish. Seems like only the little fish bite for me. What's your opinion?

Keep your rod bent and your line tight.

Big Fish From: geov (68.83.67.187), Pennsylvania
They are there sometimes a little tough to find though. I fished there the day of that tournement but I don't know what the winning weight was but I had 4 fish by 1:00 for almost 9 lbs. I feel my fish have gotten bigger using Senkos not only at Blue Marsh but also other lakes I have fished. Crankbaits have also turned on for me in about the last month. All I can really say is I try not to get myself in a rut by fishing the same way. If I am not catching fish I change the way I am fishing such as depth, speed, color, lures and even boat position from the shore line. Try moving your boat another 5-10 feet away from the bank and don't throw quite that tight if they are not tight to the bank and fish your lure further out before giving up on it. I think you will find some larger fish a little further out. For some reason this year I have not caught that many fish up tight to the bank. Also throwing my Senkos deep into large lay downs and fishing them gently and slowly over the submerged branches. If I lose a hook I am not worried about it. I also make sure I cover the lay downs throughly. If I find a stretch producing I will fish it more then once sometimes even 3 times. Hope this helps a little more. Good Luck.
