Which area of the state are ya moving to? I think you will quite pleased with the fishing in this state. Depending on which lake ya go to we have the same stuff. NC, is a great bass fishing state From: Firewater (205.188.208.104), North carolina Hey TX, If you love Bass Fishing, you are going to love fishing in North Carolina. From the deep pristine moutain lakes that hold 4 and 6 pound smallies to the piedmonts sprawling reservoirs, to eastern nc's lowland timber filled lakes that are full of hydrilla and milfoil. 8,10 and 12 pound largemouth are common place in this state. The state record is 15.11 pounds and is only a few years old. You will have to change a few fishing tactics, but I think you will be pleased. There are numerous tounament trails and countless bass clubs all over the state. I think you will like bass fishing here. Good Luck and Good Fishing.
