Brent, I've only been on the lake twice, and I've only caught one fish. Would it be safe to say that I should be able to catch more fish where I got that one??? We fished the spot pretty good when I got bit, but we didn't get bit again. I didn't fish the same spot the second time we fished. I'll definitely fish the same spot again this weekend. Have you thrown any Senko's at them??? That skinny worm they came out with has been my go-to bait lately... <*)))))>{ 4:20 Bassers Dvl From: Brent (68.233.236.28), California Hi Corn, Fished there today 1/10/04 and for the first time I didn't boat one single fish. There was a big tourny today and tons of boats on all of the points and humps. Saw a ton of nice bass in the cove behind the tackle shop to the left of the marina but coudn't get near them due to all of the trout farmers. Saw some guys that did pretty well on the points and humps. You have to locate the humps and stay on them until the fish come around. From what the guys were telling me once you find them you stay there and work it HARD. I haven't tried Senkos there yet but they are my favorite bait at most of my local holes. We still havn't figured out how to stop and drop a bait 40 - 60 feet on top of the fish to get them. It's tough but were going to keep trying until we figure it out. Carolina rig still seems to be the choice of almost everyone I saw. I did talk to a guy that landed a couple of nice fish on 6" trout swimbaits off of points. How's the boat doing? Gotta love that Nitro it's awesome. Good Luck and I'll look for you next weekend. |
