DVL Tourny From: Brent (68.233.236.28), California
Brian,

Congrats on the 3rd place finish. We probably saw you out there yesterday. We fish there pretty regularly and didn't do that well. Lost more than we caught unfortunately. I think the water dropped about 2 degrees since last week and that may have triggered the fish to go deeper. We didn't get many in our usual spots. Do you fish there very often? Where were you able to locate them at? We metered a few around 60 feet but couldn't get them to bite. All of our fish came in 10 - 30 feet of water.

WE try to get out there about every other weekend.I am fishing out of my buddys boat which is a 22'yellow Trition bay boat. For the past month we mostly have been fishing around 45'to 60' we first try to meter the fish than drop on them with a drop-shot rig or corlina rig.Mostly just fishing the main lake points and a few secnondy points. My buddy also hooked up with a twenty pound blue cat on Sunday as well .

Brian,

Thanks for the info. We fish there 3 out of 4 weekends and will look for you. We are in a new white w/ blue and silver Nitro. Allways looking to meet people to exchange information and fish with. We have had pretty decent luck in the shallower water 10-30 feet. In between bushes and around rocks. Found that carolina rig with 2 foot leader on 6 lb line is the best bet. Brush hogs or 6" worms. Light tap or just heavy dead weight pull. A lot of missed fish on short bites.

I am coming to san diego in a few weeks From: jeff (152.163.252.71), Texas
If any of you could answer this i would appreciate it. my wife and i are heading out there on the 22-25 of jan, i was wondering when the bass spawn in that part of the country. my brother lives in a community that has a lake with a bunch of bass in it. just wanted to know if they would be spawning at that time and what the water temps may be.

thanks for any help, my email is crankoneup@aol.com

god bless,

jeff

The bass here in Southern part on CAL dont start to spawn till around March .Most our fish will still be very deep when you get here.
