Where the bejesus is RAMONA LAKE? Did you say hike? Ramona Lake From: Hoss (4.63.21.67), California Ramona Lake is a couple miles north of lake Poway. You have to park at the Blue Sky Ecological Reserve and hike about 3 miles to reach the lake.It is a small lake only about 100 acres and water is very clear.Need to use light line I use 6lb.Some good rock structure to fish on the lake.Crawdads work extremely well ( small 2 to 3 inch ones in the greenish to brown colors) I also use a trailer hook on the crawdads with a 4" floating worm usually with some shade of green. Most of my hookups with this setup is on the worm not the dad (Excellent setup in coldwater) Hope this helps! HOSS Lake Ramona Bass From: Brandan (76.176.8.51), California I've seen a 20+lb bass in a cove there. Thing was freaking huge!!!! I don't know of anyone catching it. Have seen it twice in aboot 13 years of fishing there. Definetly a rarety up there. Only caught a bass about 6lb out of there. Other than that, only pounders to 2 pounders. |
