Went to Lay Lake today to try and learn how to swim a jig. Limited success. Limited meaning no success. Fished the weeds in Beeswax Creek. (I have a 15 ft Alumacraft with an 18 hp Evinrude, so I can't go too far from the boat ramp.) Can anyone please explain the proper technique to use on Swimming a jig and what are the colors to use. I used a white jig with a white sizmic toad, jr. Also, what is the best type rod and line. I am using a Falcon Cara 6'10" Heavy action rod with a Curado 6:2 reel and 20 lb Trilene Big Game line. I know this site is for fishing reports, but any fishing tips or techniques would be greatly appreciated. GOD Bless and Be safe out there.
