Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Me and a buddy fished Stonewall Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Temp was in high 80's with a high bright sky. Water was warmer than I expected it to be for the middle of May. We found very few fish in the shallows. Moved to deeper water between Little Skin Creek and Vandalia and caught some quality fish. All our bites came at 10 to 12 feet in 25 feet or deeper water. We caught several 15" fish with my buddy catching two really quality fish. One was 18" and the other was just shy of 20" and 5 lbs. I have finally seem a couple of those Stonewall bass that I drive 3 hours to catch. All of our fish were caught on a Texas rig worm or lizard fished really slow in deep water around fallen timber. I also caught a Walleye this trip, that's a first for me. What a beautiful lake. We'll be back!
