Date Fished: 7/11/2004
Water Temperature: 75
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Partner & I got to Roy ~ 1/2 hour past first light. Very little wind all day (< 5 mph). Smallies hit topwater all day; poppers, spooks, propbaits, even buzzbaits. Also caught several on chart spinnerbait burned over veg. Caught others on tubes & spider grubs. No largemouth; spent most of the day chasing smallies. Caught upwards of 20 SMB, ranging from 13-17 inches. Only one dink (8"). Size wise, best day I've had in the 2 yrs I've been in SD. Average fish larger than other area lakes.
