Oklahomans get to know your local landowners, For the bigger largemouth bass get to know your local landowners with larger ponds ( 5 to 50 acres ) on their property. Politely ask them for permission to fish them or ask them what you can offer or barter to have the privilige to fish their ponds. These ponds hold the truly bigger bass since most of the bigger lakes have succumbed to over predation with gar, wipers, drum and large populations of juvenile catfish.I have had the privilige of fishing some private ponds for bass and came back very sastified with the results.Worms and crankbaits worked very well for these eager bass mostly in the 2 to 4 pound range with a couple going 6 to 7 pounds.
