Water Clarity: 1 foot My fishing partner and I went to the "Mighty" Mississippi this past weekend to pre-fish for a tournament there in September. Fishing was not what I thought it would be, very tough conditions. Saturday we had 1 short bass on a spinner bait in pool 21 and a couple of drum. On Sunday we locked into pool 22 and had a little better day. We caught 3 keepers the biggest was a 3 to 4 pound smallie. Most all fish were caught on a D & S Spinnerbait. Spoke with a CO and he said the river was about two foot lower than normal. If any one would have any information concerning fishing the Mississippi, I would appreciate hearing from you. Take a kid fishing!!!
