Caught many "shorts" and one keeper on Gun Lake this past Saturday morning. It was my first time on this lake and I liked the potential it has. If I knew what I was doing I probably would have done much better, but I'm happy for my first time. The keeper was caught on the outside weedbed by Chicago Point and several shorts were also caught in that area. Caught a couple of smallmouth on some rock piles. The lake was glass calm and the boat traffic was heavy by 10am, hence, it wasn't ideal conditions, but still enjoyable. I have a small tournament there on Oct. 9, anyone got a any tips for that lake that time of year?
