  Subject: Hagg Lake, Oregon

Submitted by Eric Melland (ip 24.21.239.158)

Date Fished: 9/12/2004
Water Temperature: 62
Water Clarity: 1 foot

Fished near the dam from 8 AM to about 1 PM and caught some smallies with my Dad. My Dad landed the largest at about 2 pounds and my largest was a little over 1 pound. The weather was mostly overcast with ocassional sunbreaks. The presentation was slow and on the bottom in about 15-25 feet of water. We were fishing Texas rigged 5 inch lizards in pumpkin color with 1/0 worm hooks and 1/4 ounce weight. The fish had very suttle takes. I missed several fish by not letting them fully take the bait. Finesse was the key. Stay hooked, Eric
