Date Fished: 11/25/2004 Water Temperature: 72 On Sunday Bass-n-Fools held their 22 annual Giblets & Gravy Tournament out of Roland & Maryann Martin's Marina in Clewiston. With lake being hammered all week with the B.A.S.S. going on and about 5 others, the tournament still turned out to be a success with 38 boats. 1st place ($1700 + Glass trophies) went to Jim Barnick & Chris Rand with 16.58 LB. and Jim catching the Big Bass of 7.78 LB on a spinner bait. A close 2nd went to the team of Dew & Gregory with 16.31 LB. There were 199 bass caught, after talking to everyone most of the bass were caught flippin' crawdads and sankos and swimmin' baits like Gambler Flappin' Shads and frogs. Eventhough the fishing was tough there was a lot of good quality bass caught between 4-7 LB. This is a good time of the year to experience Lake Okeechobee if your coming down for the holidays.
