Date Fished: 12/1/2004 Took off work this morning to fish Conroe for a few hours. The morning started off a little chilly with very little wind. I quickly boated 2 keepers on a suspending rattling rouqe, both in the 3 pound class and both off the same dock. No more hits on that so I picked the jig up. I caught 4 short fish on a jig and two more keepers on a baby brush hog in watermelong seed. Around 10am, I tried slowrolling a willow leaf spinnerbait over a hump I had found a few weeks back. I caught 6 fish off the hump, but all were short fish (between 15 and 16"). I had to reel it very slow and practically crawl it across bottome but the hit was very hard. The crankbait bite should come soon and the jig bite should improve as the water temp cools down. Didn't try a senko today, but always take some with you this time of the year.
