Water Clarity: 1 foot Our club made its annual Fall fishing trip to Millers Ferry on the weekend of Dec.4 under near flood conditions but still managed to have a decent trip. The water was very high and VERY muddy in the main lake with many trees floating down stream at a good pace. The back of some of the creeks up lake had some clearer water and some fish. The current in the main lake was to strong to fish effectively as well. Mike Bass had the biggest fish of the trip with a nice largemouth weighing 6.16 pounds on a Rat-L-Trap. He also caught several others in the 4 to 5 pound range on a 200 series Bandit during his stay. My partner John and I managed to find a few fish on shallow running crank baits fished over normally shallow stump covered flats in Big Swamp Creek. Almost all the fish John and I caught were chasing shad and we would watch for any sign of activity. Considering we almost canceled due to high water not a bad trip.
