Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Fished Smith Saturday the 11th. I counld'nt believe the water level but it was a awsome day to fish. My partner and I targeted run-ins in the very back of pockets and had pretty good luck. We were going so far back in the run-ins we were having to break limbs and dodge trees that would normally be on dry land. I flipped a jig head with a green pumpkin finesse worm while my partner mixed it up between a one ounce black and blue jig and the jighead with finesse worm. I ended the day with 3 overs and two unders along with two slots. My partner ended up with 1 over, 1 under, and 5 slots. The key was the water temp. The areas where we caught fish the water was 58-59 degree range and the unproductive run-ins were in the 54-55 range. We ended the day with 9.25 lbs. I saw my second buck swimming across the lake in three weeks. It was a wall hanging 9 point. Saw him close to the dam. I need to start carrying a camera with me so I can get em on film, pretty awsome. All in all a good day to be on the "Dead Sea".
