My clients and I fished Wilson for the last two days. Since last Friday, the water has cooled off 6-8 degrees. However, there is still a great deal of current moving through the lake and the fishing remains very good. However, they have moved deeper and into areas of less current.

Yesterday, with one client, in a full day trip we caught about 20 largemouth bass and about 30 saltwater stripe. We caught all of the Stripe on live shiners. Most were between 3-6lbs but we did have one over 20lbs. It was a good fight on 8lb Silver Thread Fluorocarbon line. We caught all of the largemouth on crankbaits. Our best lure was a Bomber 6A in Firetiger and Chart. Rootbeer. Our best five would have weighed 18-19lbs. The big largemouth was about 5lbs.

Today, I fished a half day trip with one client. The fishing was slower but still pretty good. In four hours we caught 11 largemouth with the best five weighing about 15lbs. Again, we caught them on crankbaits. Our best lures today were a Bomber 6A and a Bomber Deep Flat A (Perch color).

We have a few days left this month. If you would like a great winter fishing trip during the holidays, give us a call. In addition, we have 5 certificates remaining for the 2005 season. This allow the customer to save up to $75 off of a full day trip during 2005. Finally, we are taking booking now for the 2005 season. With the large number of tournaments on Guntersville this year, a number of the pre-tournament days are booking up.

Thanks Jimmy
