Date Fished: 12/18/2004 The Guides stopped by early Sat a.m., they bought a mix of Gizzard shad, trout, and BBH. They indicated that they have all had success both freelining and downlining in several areas. Some fish are being caught in FC and BC mid way and all of the way in the back of most creeks. Look for seagulls circling (hopefully not over loons), and put your lines out anywhere from 25 to 100 feet behind the boat as you freeline. Keep an eye on your electronics in 30 to 60 feet of water for fish that are bunched up so you can down line to them. All of these techniques have been effective this past week. With the water temperature cooling the stripers should be up higher and flat-lining with or without balloons and planer boards will be an extremely effective way to catch fish.
