Water Clarity: 1 foot Partner and I fished Newton from 9AM till 3PM. We had 20 or 21 bass between us. Only one over 18 inches tho. Also had 3 nice chunky whites 13-15 inches long.
Water at the ramp was 52 degrees so we opted to head up the hot water ditch (64 at the off limits probe in the upper arm) and started fishing the east bank points first then over to the west bank in the afternoon. Lots of bait fish activity. All of our fish came on 200 series Bandits except for 4 that came on a Norman Baby N. We saw others catch fish on SB's and some on plastic craws but the ones we talked to weren't getting as many or as big as ours.
Wish I wasn't so far from Newton. I don't get a chance to fish it nearly as often as I'd like. Seems like its rebounding real well from the LMBV of 99.
