Submitted by klayton (ip 209.23.230.61)

Date Fished: 1/25/2005
Water Temperature: 72
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

fished the warmwater discharge at brunners island today. It was pretty much dead. I did miss a smallmouth on a jerkbait but that was the only hit i had.

I did witness something really awsome. I was standing there fishing and i saw a huge muskie come completely out of the water chasing a 15 inch shad. he missed it the first time but wounded it after a few more attacks. I could see a cloud of blood in the water and then he came right to the surface and grabbed it and was gone. It had to be 45-50 inches. it looked like a shark attack. It made the trip totaly worth while.

the water was really high because of a ice jam down stream. i think that is what caused the bad fishing. i usually fish down below saganaw but that area was totally packed with ice.
