Fished the second tourney of the year with Tulsa Southside Hookers on Saturday 03/26. Wind and weather were just short of miserable for the entire day and water temps haved dropped slightly, from 54 to 48-50 over the last week. We fished main-lake points/pockets south of Honey Creek for the majority of the day. Rogues, Jigs and a Spinnerbait were the lures we started with. No bites on rogue or spinnerbait, while the jig hooked and lost one, and had another break off on hookset(my fault, I know). At about 2:30 we ran down just south of Duck Creek to 2 pockets and caught our only keeper on a Tube. All in all, another tough day and one fish to the scales, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Hopefully April and Hudson Lake will bring stable weather and lighter wind, but we are in Oklahoma, so it will probably be snow and tornados.

Winners had 17.55, with 2nd just back with 17.50. Big bass was just shy of 6 pounds. Paid down 6 or 7 places and took 11 lbs. to get paid.

Grand Lake has been on a roller-coaster all year so far. Usually some 24 or 25 pound sacks are realistic this time of year. Anywhere from 19 all the way down to 13 has won most of the tournaments there this year. We'll see in the weeks to come what happens, Congrats to the winners (and 2nd), 17.55 is a nice bag, especially on coldfront with high winds.
