Water Clarity: 6 inches Stick Marsh and Farm 13 are on the bite increase. The water is up in the upper 60’s and has been in the lower 70’s. This makes the bass more active. They are more likely to bite artificials. The top water bite is soon to begin. There are some bedding bass and some to bed soon. There are post spawn bass. This looks to be one of the best April’s in Stick Marsh and Farm 13 history. May must be going to be something really special.
Prior to the most recent cold front the bass went of the bite- big time. Two of us guides had our clients catch the same 26 inch long broken tail bass on the same day. Just proves that catch and release works.
Wild shiners; Rat-L-Traps; Spinnerbaits and a few other baits are producing well. For the larger bass throw larger lures in deeper water. The larger stuff produces larger bass but reduces the small bites. If you want numbers then go with the faster and smaller lures. Size info also applies to live bait.
